Weekly report 5th/11th June 
 
Difficult weather has made hard work for catching fish. Yellow Dancers and Black Green Montana's have proven well. Dries have also been catching rising fish when the wind has dropped. Freshly stocked this week .
 
W Mackey brought 10 to the net on Sedge.
T Adams brought 6 to the net on Shipman, F Fly and Hopper.
D Millican brought 6 to the net on White Fritz and olive Fritz. 
S Mole brought 6 to the boat on Border Nymph.
S Oliver also brought 6 to the boat on Border Nymph. 
 
Heaviest fish of the week goes to Tom Blaylock with a cracking 11lb Rainbow.
 
Weekly report 29th May/4th June
 
 
With bright sunshine and hot days fishing has been hard although some have managed good returns usually when the odd clouds appears 
The Evening rise has been the best time for dries with the wind dropping and good hatches coming off . Buzzers have been most consistent taking fish all week 
 
M Proudfoot brought 19 and 13 to the net on two occasions.
N Foster brought 17 to the net.
Jack Hodgson brought 12 to the boat on Buzzers. 
B Smith brought 7 to the net.
T Jones brought 7 to the net on Brown/yellow Buzzers.
 
Heaviest fish of the week goes to Mark Clayton with a cracking 61/2 lb rainbow.
 
 
Weekly report 22nd /28th May
 
 
What a week of amazing weather, another good hawthorn hatch again earlier in the week plenty of naturals It  proved hard going once the water temperature rose. Still some really good bags with fish being caught on size 15 and smaller Buzzers and nymphs. The lake was freshly stocked on Thursday morning.
 
P Armstrong brought 18 to the net. 
Dave Brown brought 16 to the net on Hot Head Damsels and Orange Blobs.
D Hopper brought 14 to the net on Buzzers. 
C Stoddart brought 12 to the boat on Green Pea, Hares Ear and Black Spider.
R Hopper brought 10 to the boat on Buzzers. 
Ropper brought 9 to the net on Bibio.
W Glendinning brought 9 to the net on Bibio. 
K Marshal brought 9 to the net on suspended Buzzers. 
A Pick brought 9 to the net. 
 
Heaviest fish of the week goes to M Parker with a cracking 9lb 6oz rainbow.
 
Weekly report 15th/21st May 
 
 
With the weather improving and a good hatch of Hawthorns this week has lead to some great bags. Mixture of flies taking from Olive fritz to Black Montanan. 
 
M Proudfoot brought 14 to the net. 
Jack Hodgson brought 12 to the boat on Black and Green Lures and Pheasant Tail Nymph. 
D Wick brought 12 to the net on Black Pennel. 
R Rowley brought 11 to the boat on Diawl Bach and Kate McLaren.
S Oliver brought 12 to the boat on Border Dries. 
S Mole brought 11 to the boat also on Border Dries. 
Dave Millican brought 10 to the net on Dries and Lures.   
 
Heaviest fish of the week goes to Jack Hodgson with a cracking 10lb Rainbow Trout.
 
 
Weekly report 8th/14th May 
 
Fantastic week fishing with a good hatch of hawthorn flies on Friday. Freshly stocked on Thursday. Some great weather produced some good bags with almost all catching. Buzzers Hawthorns Cats Whisker still proving  most popular. 
 
Anthony Pick brought 16 to the net on Black Dry Flies and Yellow Dancers.
Owen Burgess brought 14 to the net on Cats Whiskers.  
K Holliday brought 13 to the net on Cats Whisker CDC and Buzzers.
B Richardson brought 12 to the boat on Hawthorn CDC. 
A Henderson brought 10 to the net on Blobs. 
K Little brought 10 to the boat on Various Flies. 
B Lowery brought 10 to the boat on Various Flies. 
G Mavin brought 10 to the boat on Hawthorn and Buzzers.
A Cook brought 10 to the net on Buzzers.   
 
Heaviest fish of the week goes to Mick Limer and Anthony Pick who both landed a cracking 6lb Tiger Trout.
 
Weekly report 1st/7th May 
 
Another busy week on the lake with bright sun and breezy days making it challenging but most anglers succeeded. Great evening rises with fish taking Hoppers of the top. Buzzers still proving popular. 
 
J Gibson brought 14 to the net on Buzzers.
J Williams brought 14 to the boat on black Pennell.
D Smailes brought 9 to the boat on Dawson Olive. 
K Holliday brought 7 to the net on Pheasant Tail Nymph and Black drys. 
Jim Smith brought 7 to the net on Black and Peacocks.
Dan Snowball brought 7 to the net.
W Mackey brought 7 to the net on Buzzers.
D Duncan brought 7 to the boat on Cats Whisker.
 
Heaviest fish of the week went to Ian from the Corbridge fishing club with a cracking 11lb rainbow today.
 
Weekly report 24th/30th April. 
 
 
 Busy week on the lake with some good bags. We hosted Jim Tucks annual competition with a good rod average of over 7 and again Buzzers proving most popular. We freshly stocked the lake this week with some cracking rainbows, tigers and blues.
 
Reminder.. 
The lake will be closed this coming Sunday 7th May until 5pm as we have an annual competition.

Nice weather this week has made for some good fishing with more fish coming to the surface taking Dries 
Good hatched of Buzzers have also seen active fish being caught.

Weekly report 10th/ 16th April
 
 
Brilliant weeks fishing despite the weather. Some great bags, Buzzers and Bloody Worms proven well. Nice to see the evening rise coming on with the lighter nights.

A great week with some good bags again this week. A lot more fish taking dries from the top with Buzzers doing well as always. Freshly stocked fish on Friday being readily caught over the weekend.

What a fantastic week on the lake with some cracking bags despite the wind! It was great to have Haltwhistle Community Campus back on the lake, this time Year 7 took to the water with some great catches. Nice to see some fish being caught off the top by the end of the week. Buzzers Cats and Damsels proving best.

4 seasons in one week from gale force winds, heavy snow, then glorious sunshine it's know wonder the fishing has been up
and down. The fishing towards the end of the week has been cracking with some great bags being filled. Cats Whiskers and Buzzers taking a fair share of the fish.

Weekly report 13th/19th March 
 
With poor weather and strong winds it has been a hard week on the lake. With Lures including Cats Whisker and Buzzers being the main flies catching. Hopefully the weather will pick up for next week.

What a fantastic week on the lake this week. We had the pleasure of welcoming Year 6 from Haltwhistle Community Campus to fish the lake many for the first time with some great results. 
We also had a fresh stocking on Friday. Again Cats Whisker Damsel and Buzzers have proven most popular this week ..

Due to settled weather this week fishing was really good with a few more fish seen on the top. Brightly Coloured Buzzers are proving  best and as usual Cats Whiskers, Dawson's, and Squirmy Wormys have been catching fish.
